Bidding Bye to Bangalore!

Today's my last day in Bangalore.

Bangalore rocked, DH did too. I got lotsa assignments to go; did press conferences, met people on the field. Learnt most of QuarkExpress, the software for making a page.

Other than that, met lotsa interesting people at the office too, and learnt on-the-job journalism skills. It's one thing to learn stuff in a college, and entirely another when doing it practically.

I still do not clearly know my future plan. Not made up my mind on a lot of issues. Will have to do all that this week, in Chennai.

Bye bye Bangalore!

In Bangalore!

It's been a real long time since I blogged. That's because I'm just getting used to a new work place, new city, new people.

Well, I'm in Bangalore, on a three-week internship with DH, a reputed newspaper here. Two of us from MASCOM are here - S and me. S is with reporting for 10 days; he's getting to cover stories and I'm with the desk, editing stories and "sort of" making up pages. After 10 days, I'll be with reporting and he with the desk.

Bangalore rocks, as they say. I've been practically living in MG road (where the office is) and Brigade road. I report at work around 2 and come back home at 10.30. Work's okay and most of the people at office are friendly.

Really dunno what's in store for me after these three weeks. Keeping my options open...lets see. As a friend says, and yet it moves....
