Finally, cricket outdoors!
My right leg pains like hell. Iodex and Volini seem to have no effect.
And, my left eye still pains a bit.
Four hours of cricket last evening caused the damage. Yesterday morning started off great; we went in with a 'New Year' request to our administrator.
We (all guys), after wishing him New Year - "Sir, we have a special request. We would like to play cricket outdoors. We've found a suitable place to play, but we need money to buy a bat, ball and stumps. So... well..."
We scratch our heads expectantly.
M (administrator) - "Oh I see...ok let me see what I can do. Give me a rough cost of your expenses."
Two hours later, a brand new MRF bat and four stumps were here. And, two hours later, we were on the field.
It's not much of a ground. Just a 'porambokku' land full of shrubs and plants which had a clearing in the middle. Batting and bowling would be easy, but not fielding.
Yet, three 10-over games were played. My team won 2-1.
